We have had a busy, and very good year so far. We have been continuing to travel and play our music to new people, while having some good times, and meeting some very good people. A few quick highlights of the year so far….We were voted  "Best Band" by the readers of Encore Magazine for the third time.  We had our first official music video filmed, for the song "Church", which you can find on our You Tube page to the left. We are looking forward to our return to Floyd Fest this year, we will be playing 5 sets over 4 days!!  Lastly,  we just released our new album "Blackwater Sessions", to many good people at our Soapbox release party, and had a great time. We worked very hard on this album. We are very proud and excited to get it out to the public. You should be able to listen some of the new songs in the music player to the right, as well as, purchase the album here on the website, and soon, it will be available through many other online retailers. 

Thanks for everyone’s continuous support, because of it we are allowed to do what we do!

 L Shape Lot was announced as the Winner of the Floydfest Under the Radar Series for 2011! Our deepest heart-felt thanks goes out to all those who took the time to vote for us at the festival!  We certainly could not have done it without the tireless help of our street team that accompanied us to spread the word.  A nice prize package goes along with the win, but the greatest prize of all will be a performance on the Dreaming Creek Main Stage at Floydfest XI, so please mark your calendars for July/August 2012 and join us in Floyd, Virginia for what is sure to be one of our most anticipated events of the coming year.  Here are some links to the festival site and some early press …

November 2010

Our tune "Down in the Mine" will be featured in the season finale of the HBO series "Eastbound and Down".  This was an untitled track at end of the "Looks Like Snow" disc.  We aren’t quite sure how they even found it (much less how it relates to Kenny Powers), but we are nontheless honored that it made it into the show.  Viva La Flama Blanca!
